I had a small leak in my expansion tank, and they scheduled a technician to come out right away. I was given several quotes, about $1,100 to replace the expansion tank, and up to $9,900 for a tankless system, which I had asked about. Due to the pricing, I chose to repair the expansion tank.
After looking into it myself, I found that expansion tanks typically cost between $50 and $200 depending on size. I understand that labor and service calls cost money, but given the short install time, it made me feel like I should have gotten more quotes before moving forward.
Update: After my review, the company contacted me and walked me through the situation. There was an internal pricing issue, and they corrected it with a refund of the difference in price. I appreciate them taking responsibility and working with me to resolve it fairly.

I had to call Honey Go Fix It. Although no work (well, as much as possible) was performed, their technician Troy came to inspect my soggy kitchen floor. We literally looked high and low together and inside the wall. We were able to see moisture on the beam under the kitchen but could not, for the life of us, determine where the leak was coming from. We looked on the roof, thinking it was from the vent pipe. That looked solid, and we haven't had near enough rain for this much moisture to be in the floor. (It's been soggy for about two weeks starting around the sink.) We looked outside along the wall; he even inspected where my outdoor faucet connects to make sure the water wasn't running back towards the house. We thoroughly checked the lines in the basement, the water and sewage. No signs of a leak.
We are both baffled, yet we can tell there is moisture coming from somewhere. Only thing left is to pull up the kitchen floor to see if I can determine where the leak is coming from. But the floor needs to be replaced anyways at this point.
Troy did a fantastic job, explaining everything as he was inspecting it, showing me the results, even pointing out other concerns I should keep an eye out for.
I would definitely call Honey Go Fix It for any of my handyman needs. They came out free of charge, and for the recommendations and information it was completely worth the time spent. Please don't hesitate to reach out to them for your handyman tasks. You won't regret it!!!
